Access Statement

Higher Farm aims to cater for all our guests’ needs, and hope the following summary is useful. However if you feel there are any more specific questions you would like to ask, please do contact us and we will discuss any queries in more detail.

Higher Farm has ample car parking available at all times with easy one level access to the front door;(86mm wide) assistance with luggage is available.

There are no steps into the front lobby, from where access is gained into 2 downstairs bedrooms and the guest dinning room, all on the same level.

Bedroom information and menu’s are available in large print by prior arrangement.

One downstairs bedroom (The Orchard) is a large family room, with 3 single beds (or can be one single and one super king bed), complete with a wet floor shower room with shower seat and support rails, all doors in this room are suitable for wheelchair access.(88-92mm wide)

The other downstairs bedroom (The Meadow) has a double bed and bunk beds (which could be split into 2 singles beds on request). This is a spacious, light room with large French windows overlooking garden and fields.

There are 3 further bedrooms upstairs, 2 double and 1 king size.

All rooms are private en suite, but no public WC available.

The dining room has a tiled floor, and private tables and chairs which can be moved easily to suit guest requirements.

Dogs are allowed, at a small cost to cover extra cleaning, in one room only (The Orchard), but only well behaved trained dogs.

Higher Farm has a no smoking policy.

There is a patio area available for guest’s use, which is accessible from the dining room by a step or by the front door with no steps at all.

All bedroom doors are fire doors and the entire building is protected by a zoned main electric fire alarm system and emergency lighting.
