From Wrexham
- Take the A534 heading east from Wrexham. (If approaching Wrexham on the A483 from the north or south, turn off at Junction 6 north of Wrexham (Acton junction) and take the A5156 link road. This will take you straight to the A534.)
- Stay on the A534 for around 6 miles, by-passing the villages of Holt and Farndon, and crossing the Wales / England border at the River Dee.
- About a mile after the crossroads to Farndon, you’ll pass a Texaco garage on the left hand side. After the garage, the road rises through a short series of bends.
- At the top of the rise there is a crossroads, with the Cock o’ Barton pub on the right-hand side. Turn left opposite the pub into Barton village.
- Go straight ahead for around 100m. Give way at the junction if necessary, and look out for the entrance to Higher Farm B&B on the left-hand side - it's just after A&A Farm Supplies and is signposted.
- Pull up into the car park on the right - there's plenty of space.
- The front door to the B&B is immediately by the car park and is easy to find.
