There are several excellent places to eat close to Higher Farm – here are a few suggestions:

  • Cock o’ Barton, Barton – this is just a few hundreds from Higher Farm, and serves very good food. It’s a very old country inn that was completely refurbished just a few years ago, blending a contemporary style with traditional surroundings. There is a good choice of menus to suit all tastes and prices, all with the emphasis on local produce.
  • Calveley Arms, Handley (3 miles / 10 minutes) – a 17th century coaching inn with an excellent reputation for good food. A regularly-changing selection of specials, bar snacks and main meals.
  • Little Churtons, Farndon (2 miles / 5 minutes)– a small, friendly restaurant, serving good-value homemade food.
  • Try Thai At The Bear, Tattenhall (4 miles / 10 minutes) – The Bear is a traditional village pub that hosts a Thai restaurant in the evenings.
  • Mitchells Brasserie, Tattenhall (4 miles / 10 minutes) - A family run wine bar and restaurant, offering Mediterranean cuisine using local produce.
  • Village Indian, Tattenhall (4 miles / 10 minutes) – award-winning Indian restaurant, with excellent and friendly service.
  • White Horse, Churton (4 miles / 10 minutes) – traditional village pub, with restaurant, large bar and outside seating. Good à la carte menu, plus bar snacks and special events.
